As a not-for-profit educational organization, EverBright accepts students of any ages, from any cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Started from 2001, main school Yucai Chinese School is located in Edison, New Jersey (on the premises of Thomas Jefferson Middle School) at 450 Division Street, off Route 27. From Sept 2005, its first branch MingShuo Culture School is opened (on the premises of XinCom Computer School, Edison), and Jersey City, and also in Minnesota State, USA. From Sept 2007, its 2nd branch DongFang Education School is opened at Edison Community Ctr. From Sept 2009, its first international branch school is opened in Beijing (on the premises of Peking University), China. And its 2nd international school will be open at DongGuan City, GuangDong Province, China.
Everbright (Board and Admin) is committed to providing our students with the opportunity to achieve performance excellence. The mission is to teach the Standard Chinese language (pinyin and simplified Chinese characters), promote Chinese and aisa culture and other enrichment programs, including English, writing and math for grade k to 8 and SAT programs for grade 9 to 11. It is the ONLY Chinese school offering 'ALL in ONE' programs.
The Schools in NJ meet on Saturdays from 9:40 am to 1:00 pm (four sessions) and 1:30pm to 5pm; and 6pm to 8pm, Saturdays; and offers classes at various levels:
1. Pre-school Chinese sing-a-long (ge-yao); Pre-school pinyin, verse reading, and story telling;
2. CFL-Chinese as Foreign language (for non-Mandarin or students with no or
minimum background of Chinese speaking);
3. Lang Lang Chinese, Level 1-6; (www.yes-chinese.com)
4. BiaoZhun (Standard) Chinese class
5. English/Math; and SAT I, II enrichment classes
Everbright also offers many culture classes: to name a few: (youth and Adult)
1. dancing;
2. vocal arts;
3. painting and drawing;
4. martial arts (e.g.Taiji,Bagua,QiGong);
5. chess and GO (Weiqi);
6. Toastmaster Presentation/Leadership training
While students are taking classes, parents can enjoy the free time or local shopping (H-mart, Kanman Food, and Asia Food market, etc). The School also arranges all kinds of activities for adult family members: e.g., seminars on different topics almost on weekly basis; basketball in the gym; and Parents Social Club(Lunch Parties, Free Vacation Packages, Movies/books Rental, and Holiday events etc..)
